Breakfast cafés are an irreplaceable part of life in Taiwan—a beloved cultural touchpoint where people gather energy and connect before taking on the day.

This daily dose of energy often comes in the form of pork floss and egg sandwiches, sizzling noodles, or a cheerful “handsome” or “beautiful” greeting from the friendly cafe auntie. But have you ever considered that this energy might also come from words? Like the cheeky jokes printed on soy milk lids that spark a smile on your commute, words can uplift and energize. At DynaFont, we believe in the power of fonts—and we hope that every day, people can "feed on words" and savor the full flavor of language, drawing strength from the rich taste of well-crafted type.

That belief inspired a unique collaboration between DynaFont, Kevin Tsai, and HooChuu, resulting in the creation of the DynaFont Morning Words Breakfast Café.

For this project, Kevin Tsai wrote seven thoughtful, witty reflections—one for each day of the week. DynaFont then paired each piece with a carefully chosen font to perfectly season the message. These “word breakfasts” were printed on HooChuu packaging and displayed throughout the shop. Every day, customers received a fresh dose of text along with their breakfast—nourishing the heart and mind before even taking the first bite. With flavor-packed phrases, this project promised daily inspiration and emotional resonance, one sentence at a time.
